FlexView meters delivers a robust device authentication algorithm and end-to-end encryption of data transmission, as specified in the DLMS/COSEM communication standards, ultimately delivering unprecedented levels of reliability, including in challenging or remote environments.

FlexView provides multiple layers of protection and security in order to prevent tampering or fraud. Alerts, including tampering or removal of the terminal cover are logged locally on the meter and automatically sent to the FlexView management software. Even during outages, logs of alerts and meter activity are locally stored, ensuring that data is not lost and alerts can be retrieved and sent to the management software when after an outage.

Advance and redundant systems are enplace to secure, retain and protect system and meter data. The meters securely store all registration and configuration data to non-volatile memory. Energy usage and billing data is available via the FlexView AMI platform for as long as two years and is stored locally on the meter hardware, updating frequently.

Shyft’s Network Operating Center (NoC) is constantly monitoring the integrated system, including meter connectivity and is available for support with the Help Center.
